St Luke's People
There are many people and teams that enable a Parish to be effective in the varieties of ministries and outreach that make up the mission of the church. If you would like to be part of St Luke's Parish please make contact with the Vicar: Rev Alex Czerwonka.
Vicar: Rev Alex Czerwonka
Hi all. I was born in Wanganui, NZ in 1954. I grew up in Wanganui and Lower Hutt. I attended St Bernard's College in Lower Hutt. After school and a period working in a variety of jobs I studied nursing and qualified as a NZ Registered Nurse in 1980. Jocelyn and I married in 1978 and our three children are now leading interesting adult lives. We have two grandchildren, Mykah and Indiana. I responded to a call to ordination and began study at St John's College Auckland in 1983 where I completed two diplomas, the Licenciate in Theology and Scholar in Theology. Later I completed a Master of Ministry degree from Otago University. My personal interests are in Gospel and Culture, art, Business as Mission, Science and Theology, as well as walking dogs and reading thriller novels. Jocelyn and I continue to enjoy being with young people and ecouraging them in faith.
